Catrina

Catrina

Catrina graduated from Savannah College of Art & Design with degrees in both Animation and Sequential Arts. After working many years at many different jobs, from retail slave at some well-known toy store, to buyer at a Halloween store to editor and bookkeeper at a non-profit architecture firm, she finally stumbled into doing a tiny bit of freelance work for Hasbro on their GI Joe line. Several years later found her doing several thousand more jobs on several different toy lines, including: Star Wars, Bey Blade, Transformers, Marvel, Iron Man, Chuck, and Littlest Pet Shop, among numerous others. Until one day, she met up with some of her fabulous toy designer friends and they decided to try their hands at working well with others, thus forming Boss Fight Studio.

Erik

Erik

A graduate of Savannah College of Art & Design, Erik had his eye focused on the Comic Book industry. While trying to break into comics, Erik tripped and fell into Toy Design. What a good trip it was too. So good, in fact, that he stayed there. Starting as a Freelance Designer and later Temp Designer, he was hired as a full-time Product Designer at Hasbro. Over the next 6 years, he worked on many of the top-selling boys’ brands, including: GI Joe, Transformers, Beyblade, Marvel Universe, Thor, Iron Man 2, Captain America, and Chuck. The bulk of his time at Hasbro, however, was spent on the mega-brand, Star Wars, including: The Vintage, Saga Legends, & Clone Wars lines of figures and vehicles. After leaving Hasbro in the beginning of 2013, he teamed up with several other toy designers to form Boss Fight Studio.

Dave

David is a highly creative individual whose lifelong passion for toys, ranging from American action figures to Japanese Anime, lead him to pursue his dream of becoming a professional toy sculptor. While attending classes at Mass College of Art & Design, where he studied figurative sculpture, bronze casting, and metal working, Dave began his career as a sculpting intern at Hasbro toys. In 2006, Dave was hired on as a full time sculptor, where he would stay for the next seven years, working his way up to the position of Sculpt Manager. He is well-known for quality of sculpt detail and articulation, aesthetic eye, and a knack for expressing 2D concepts as 3D entities. Dave has worked on many of Hasbro brands, including: GI Joe (25th anniversary, Sigma 6, Resolute, Rise Of Cobra), Marvel (Legends, Universe, Spiderman, Iron man 1, 2, 3, Hulk, Avengers, Wolverine), Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Robot Heroes, Combat Heroes, Adventure Heroes, Super hero Squad. Dave is most known for his work as Sculpting Lead on GI Joe: Pursuit of cobra, 30th Anniversary, Renegades, Retaliation, and Concept Vault. After leaving Hasbro in early 2013, he teamed up with several toy designer, friends and colleagues to form Boss Fight Studio.

Andrew

Andrew

Andrew began his toy design career freelancing for Marvel Toys and Hasbro on product lines such as GI Joe: Sigma Six, Star Wars, GI Joe 25th Anniversary, Fantastic Four, The Hulk, and Spider-Man.  Eventually, he worked his way into Hasbro as a temp designer, learning under the best and most experienced designers in the industry and contributing to some of the biggest brands.  After a time, he was hired full time on the Star Wars team, and contributed heavily to the brand’s direction, especially guiding the Clone Wars Animation product line from its inception, managing the multi-figure Battle Packs and creating the Vehicle/Figure pack assortment to fill a hole in the product offering.  For a time, he moved onto the exciting and fast-paced retail exclusives product team, gaining experience in working more directly with marketing and sales teams on product lines like Avengers, Transformers and GI Joe: Retaliation.  In 2012 he again struck out on his own to search out a broader range of experience.  His favorite products he’s worked on in the past are the GI Joe “Dollar Store” assortment, The Clone Wars Embo action figure and the Transformers Masterpiece Thundercracker.
